Under the theme ‘Disappearing’, I explored the effects of climate change on winter tourism, focusing on the decline in snowfall at ski resorts at mid-altitudes. Inspired by the aesthetics of classic Swiss winter tourism posters and photography, I developed a visual language that combines familiar imagery with ironic elements. The project resulted in three outcomes: a printed and animated poster, a five-part photo series and an eight-page newspaper. With the slogan “Niemand hat schönere Pisten”, the poster draws attention to the consequences of climate change in an ironic way. The newspaper explores the topic further by contrasting a snow-rich past with a possible snow-free future.
The printed and animated posters were selected by Goldbach Neo and exhibited in the square in front of Luzerner Kantonalbank from 14 to 25 March 2025. In addition, the works may also appear on poster sites and screens across Switzerland, subject to advertising space being available.
